SPX - Bounce

The first impulsive wave of minute degree  has reached a Fibonacci price cluster in area 1347 (2.618 x 1 + 2) / 1349 (0,618 x 3 + 4).
Most aggressive traders could have tried a long position waiting for a probable bounce; although I was tempted I let it go, it is not my approach to trading.
Preferred counting: last wave graphically looks like a first wave a of a zigzag pattern of minute degree, so it is playing a corrective bullish wave, followed by another bearish five wave sequence down to 1320 level.
Alternative counts: the impulsive wave just ended could represents the wave c of completion of a a-b-c flat pattern of minor degree w (Alt No. 2) , or x if one considers that the top of the intermediate wave (w) has not yet been reached (Alt No. 1); it would be sufficient to raise one level of the degree to the last five wave sequence. Even if fascinating, this assumption is weaker than the main because, in terms of time, this wave c is proportional to the wave a but not to the wave b (three times larger). The hourly stochastic with bullish divergence does not remove it.
In a couple of sessions we will see developments.
The market doesn't run away.
Have a great trading day...with care!

Conteggio preferito: l'onda terminata assomiglia graficamente all'onda
Conteggi alternativi:  l'onda impulsiva appena terminata rappresenta l'onda

Buon trading... e prudenza!

SPX - The third downward wave came, but is not the last.

I updated the count.
The structure is the same, corrective wave above the last bullish wave of Primary sequence, but I changed the degree of the waves lifting it to a higher level; essentially, the alternate count becomes the preferred and vice versa.
Preferred scenario:
the wave began on April 2 is a (x) intermediate corrective wave, with the w minor wave in progress (double three?)
Alternate scenario:
the wave began on April 2 is a x minor corrective wave , with the y/c minute wave nearing completion (three or triangle).
I expect to see the performance of the support to 1358; if there is a breakdown, it's possible an important bottom in the week between Friday 11 and Friday May 18 between 1340 and 1320.

Last valid retracement to keep these scenarios is 1290 (see page "U.S. index - Long term view").
Have a great trading day...with care!

Scenario alternativo:

Ultimo ritracciamento valido per mantenere questi scenari è 1290 (vedi pagina "US index Long term view")

Buon trading e prudenza!

SPX - Too many possible alternative

From the top to 1413, the market has developed 3 waves of micro degree (green): the first downward, the second upward, the third still downward.
If the wave y of minuette degree (light blue in box) [or c if triangle] is a zigzag,  would require a sequence of 5 sub-waves and so, 2 are missing, but if it were a flat or a three, then the first wave of subminuette degree (yellow) may soon end.
From these considerations, it's possible to understand the great variability of the scenarios.

And this only for the primary scenario!
How do you operate in this context?
I'm out and look!

Have a great trading day...with care!

Buon trading...e prudenza!

SPX - Missing another downward wave

Tracking scenarios is becoming increasingly complex.
In the corrective waves, the alternatives are virtually infinite and often we can find the right one only when the pattern is already complete.
The last bullish wave began on April 23 looks like an impulsive wave, and if so, would have ended yesterday, so it should start another bearish wave, but this is truly just to open a short position ...
The basic framework is still very blurred, I'm tired of waiting and see what happens ... but this has been the correct strategy.
Have a great trading day...with care!

Buon trading... e prudenza!

SPX - Congestion continues (part 2)

The upside breakout of  1393 level has invalidated the main scenario, replacing it with alternative scenarios that are still thinking about the formation of a triangle or three, of minute or minuette degree.
Have a great trading day...with care!

SPX - Congestion continues

In the last 10 days, the market has created a series of zig-zag in opposite directions with a few points of potential gain, so my strategy to stay out and wait proved successful, because I consider that for each open position on the market there is the risk of incurring a loss, so for me it is always best to stay on the market as little as possible on the basis of our trade-off of reward / risk.
The preferred scenario is still bearish, and those alternatives are mostly sideways with the possible formation of a triangle or three before another bearish wave.
So I continue to stay out.

Have a great trading day...with care!

Così continuo a restare fuori.

Buon trading...e prudenza!

SPX - Doubtful situation (part 2)

The trend remains bearish, although its strength seems reduced.
I confirm the two scenarios of the previous post, and the resulting business strategy.

Have a great trading day...with care!

SPX - Doubtful situation

Quick update

Preferred scenario; downward continues beyond the minimum mark in 1357
Alternate scenario; upward continues over the top in 1422.

It is not an appropriate time to open positions.

I am in doubt, so I stay out.

SPX - NEW COUNT

It's now clear that the strange pattern in progress is unlikely to form a bottom of minuette degree.
The decline that extended over the past days changed my main scenario;
according to my new favorite hypothesis, the last top in 1422 marks the end of the y minor wave of (w) intermediate wave.
If so, it should be started a a/w minor (red) wave as the first sequence of a corrective pattern of intermediate degree (more details soon to be published on the page "Long term scenarios of U.S. index")
The alternative scenario considers the downward correction like an x wave of minor degree of a double zig-zag pattern.
Possible targets: first 1340, second 1290 (Fibonacci price cluster)
The market begins a phase of great uncertainty as the alternatives of corrective waves are very numerous, and it becomes extremely difficult to position correctly.
The short term trend changes from bullish to neutral / bearish, so I don't open more long positions on pullbacks or on top's breakouts, but I will open short positions on bounces or on bottom's breakdowns (always according to the degree of the waves!)
Have a great trading day...with care!!!

SPX - A strange corrective pattern

The market is located in a juncture very hard to understand;
the count proposed is weak because the wave b , even if it were a three, has a width in terms of time in excess of the wave a
"When in doubt, stay out" and I will observe the market from outside, ready for a recount that today I would not do because the alternative hypothesis are too many.
Have a  great trading day---with care!
